La Blue Casa's first singer songwriters' circle with three outstanding Nashville countrystars!
LESTER SLADE:
@zaclesterslade
Lester Slade is a traveling songwriter based in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Years on the road have shaped his stripped-down sound, rooted in real stories and an honest approach to songwriting.
Fresh off tours through the Netherlands, Europe, Lester has performed at SXSW 2026 in Austin Texas and just completed his new 11-track album, the follow-up to 2024’s Fireweed. Written between shows and quiet stretches in the North, the album marks a new chapter in his work as a storyteller, capturing the landscapes, people, and experiences that shape his music.
Whether recording in the Arctic, or performing for new audiences in the south, Lester’s songs offer a clear-eyed take on the lives we lead and the truths we carry, blending folk, Americana, and alt-country influences into a sound that is both intimate and expansive.
"There's a timeless quality to Lester Slade's writing. He's an old soul but a restless one and it can be heard on his first record. (Burnt Out Lightning) But on this release, I believe his gift for song craft has hit its stride. He's got the right crew to dig in, get those words out and hit you right in the gut with phrases that stay in your mind long after the song has finished. It takes a great storyteller to do that and he is definitely one of them.”
Alex Madsen, The Divorcees
JULIELLE:
@juliellemusic_
With her latest release “Time,” Nashville-based funky country artist Julielle steps into a more intimate, stripped-back space, trading high-energy grooves for a raw acoustic moment built on just guitar and vocal. The song unfolds like a quiet conversation with time itself—reflecting on how quickly life moves and how easily the most meaningful moments can slip by unnoticed. It’s a nostalgic, emotionally grounded release that reveals a softer layer of her artistry, inviting listeners to slow down, look around, and hold tight to the people and memories that matter most.
Julielle is a genre-bending country artist based in Nashville, TN, blending the emotional depth of country storytelling with the groove of funk, the grit of soul, and a retro flair all her own. Raised in sunny California and now rooted in Music City, she brings an electrifying presence to every stage she steps on—whether it’s a honky-tonk, hotel lounge, or TV studio.
With over 60 live performances across Tennessee and the West Coast, Julielle has played venues from The Basement Nashville to The Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, building a loyal audience through her dynamic sets and powerhouse vocals. Her performances are marked by clever, emotionally resonant originals, high-energy crowd work, and funky reimagining of classic covers.
Her independent releases have earned over 65,000 total Spotify streams, and she’s been featured on Radio SoBro in Nashville. Julielle has also appeared on three music-focused podcasts, including McMahon On Keys and Hank's Corner, where she opened up about her creative journey and artist identity.
She’s been featured in two live TV segments—WKRN Local on 2 and WSMV’s “Today in Nashville”—performing original songs live and discussing her rising career in interviews.
Known for her confidence, authenticity, and work ethic, Julielle is an artist with big dreams and the drive to make them happen. Her music and visuals reflect themes of empowerment, resilience, and emotional honesty—often wrapped in denim jumpsuits, vintage tones, and a little velvet sparkle. With a growing catalog, a clear sense of identity, a bit of sass, and undeniable stage presence, she’s carving out her own bold lane in the alt-country and Americana world—and she’s just getting started.
NICK POSTHUMUS :
@thesoftmaybes
Nick Posthumus is a window washer from Toronto.
One of eleven brothers and sisters, he grew up in Port Perry, ON. Raised in a house where if you wanted to get heard you had to make some noise. That developed into a healthy love of performance and a job as a teacher for the family music school.
He began touring the country with several acts in 2017 as a supporting musician, and finally started releasing his own original music in 2022. A mix of soulful and folky inspirations inform a sound that has been described by past roommates and fans as “barefoot music”.
Still, there is an unmistakable dose of small town, family love and deep sentiment that is inescapably woven into his lyrics. You can decide for yourself whether or not that merits taking your socks off when you hear him live.
